Shimmer Dust Bath Powder
1 cup Cornstarch
2 Tbsp. Kaolin Clay
1/2 tsp. Fragrance or Essential oil
1/2 - 1 tsp. Mica, pearl or rose
Combine first three ingredients. Mix well to incorporate oil. Let dry overnight and remove any lumps by pressing through a sieve. Add mica and fill your container.

Honey Almond Hand Salve
1 1/2 cups Rolled oats
2 oz. Almonds, finely ground
1 Tbsp. Honey
2 Tbsp. Sweet Almond oil
10 drops Tincture of Benzoin
Combine all thoroughly and fill a tin with the salve. The Tincture of Benzoin imparts antiseptic qualities and also acts as a preservative.
Key Lime Aftershave for Men
1 cup Perfume Diluent
1 cup Orangeflower Water
20 drops Oil of Lime
10 drops Oil of Lemon
5 drops Oil of French Lavender
5 drops Oil of Petitgrain
10 drops Oil of Bay
1 tsp. Tincture of Benzoin *
One Peel from a fresh Lime

* astringent, preservative and mild antiseptic

Add essential  oils to perfume diluent, add orangeflower water and tincture of benzoin. Using a zester, make a spiral peel from the fresh lime.  Add to the bottle and steep for two weeks to allow scents to blend and mellow.
Fairy Mist Glitter Gel
1/4 cup Aloe Vera Gel
1 tsp. Liquid Glycerin
1/4 tsp. Cosmetic Glitter (in your favorite color)
6 drops Fragrance oil
1-2 drops Cosmetic Colorant
Combine ingredients and fill lip balm jars. If you want to make a variety of colors and scents, divide the mixture according. Then, sparkle plenty!
Magical Milk Bath
2 cups Epsom Salts
1/2 cup Baking Soda
3/4 cup Powdered Milk
1/2 cup Citric Acid crystals
1 tsp. Essential or Fragrance oil
A few drops Cosmetic Colorant (if desired)
Combine dry ingredients, add Essential or Fragrance oil and coloring (if desired). Mix thoroughly to incorporate oil and colorant. Use 1/3 cup for each bath. Relax and enjoy !
Sparkling Citrus Splash
2 1/2 cups Perfume Diluent
3/4 cup Orangeflower Water
12 drops Oil of Sweet Orange
12 drops Oil of Lemon Verbena
6 drops Oil of Bergamot
6 drops Oil of Pink Grapefruit
Combine essential oils and perfume diluent, gently stir.  Add orangeflower water and stir again. You may also use a zester to make spiral peels from an orange, lemon or grapefruit to add to the bottle. Allow to infuse for two weeks.  Remove peel or leave for visual appeal.
Bath Tub Tints
1/4 cup Aloe Vera Gel
3/4 cup Distilled Water
1 tsp. Food Coloring
1/4 tsp. Fragrance oil
Combine all ingredients and put into a screw top jar.
Scent Suggestions:
Red = Raspberry Green = Green Apple or Lime
Blue = Blueberry Buckle Yellow = Lemon or Banana
Kids can learn to mix colors to create new ones!
Red + Blue = Purple Green + Blue = Turquoise
Green + Yellow = Lime  Red + Yellow = Orange
Woodlands Aftershave Gel
6 oz. Aloe Vera Bath Gel
2 Tbsp. Rose Water
2 Tbsp. Perfume Diluent
40 drops Oil of Pine Needle
12 drops Oil of Allspice
10 drops Oil of Sandalwood
Combine and decant into a bottle. Allow to blend for two weeks. Decorate the bottle with a few pine cones and an evergreen sprig.
Honey Butter Bars
2 parts Cocoa Butter
2 parts Coconut Oil, refined
2 parts Sweet Almond oil
2 parts Beeswax Pearls
3/4 tsp. Essential or Fragrance oil
Gently melt all ingredients together, except essential or fragrance oil. When melted, add scented oil and pour into your containers. To hasten set-up you may place containers in the refrigerator. Wonderful for dry skin and cracked or dry feet.
Sunlight Eau de Cologne
1/2 cup Peppermint Leaf
1/2 cup French Lavender
One Peel of 1 Lemon
One Peel of 1 Orange
10 drops Oil of Lemon Verbena
2 cups Perfume Diluent
Note: Use a zester to remove fruit peel.   Do not remove white pith as it is bitter.
Combine ingredients and steep for two weeks to blend. Strain and pour into a clean bottle. Keep in the refrigerator for a refreshing splash on hot, muggy days.

Hints for Petit Four Soaps

The "Dollar" store is a great place to find cake decorating sets with frosting tips. Mini muffin and mini bundt pans are perfect molds for "soapcakes". The bundt pan cakes come out with a small depression in the center. You can put a round bath oil bead in it to represent a cherry. Package your "soapcakes" in mini fluted paper cupcake holders and place a doily in your container for your "cakes" to sit on.
