This month's flower is the TIARE FLOWER

We are happy to announce that we now carry Tiare flower oil! Tiare flowers are the heart and soul of Tahiti and goes by the Latin name, Gardenia Tahitensis. Bushes of six to eight petal star shaped flowers line the roads. Their fragrance is intoxicating, reminiscent of Gardenias and Tuberose.

For centuries the Tahitians have produced Monoi oil obtained from the maceration of Tiare flowers in coconut oil. It is produced according to stringent guidelines. The Monoi has to macerate for at least ten days and must contain 10 flowers per liter of refined Coprah oil. Woody Fragrances Attract Women

The scents of Autumn fill the air, pumpkin pie, bright red apples, woodsmoke, hot chocolate with marshmallows....  The promise of leaves colored red, yellow and burnt orange. How about making soaps filled with different leaf shapes, scented Plymouth Pumpkin Pie, Green Apple, Country Spiced Orange or our new Gingered Pear. For kids, chocolate soap with a layer of Marshmallow soap. We've added new scents, Peach Melba, Creme Brulee, Lemon Meringue, Molasses Mint and Gingered Pear.

Recipe of the month:

AUTUMN LEAVES POTPOURRI

4 cups Autumn Leaves, preserved
4 cups Cedar Tips
4 cups Corn Cob pieces, 1" (new botanical)
4 cups Orange Windmill Pods
2 cups Pine Cones
2 cups Oakmoss, cut (this is your fixative)
1/2 oz. Country Spiced orange fragrance oil
or oil of your choice

Add fragrance oil to Oakmoss, combine well and allow to sit overnight. Mix potpourri and add scented oakmoss. You may also add, acorns and nuts to this mix or place a small ear of colorful Indian corn on the top.
