Hello Fragrance Crafters and Soap Makers,

Summer is here, my roses have been blooming non-stop. I will be offering hand picked and dried red and pink buds. I have been very busy drying them on screens for a month. They are really beautiful. They will be $5.00 per full cup. Adding just a few to potpourri makes a big difference. These roses have wonderful color and fragrance. They are David Austin and antique roses. ALL buds, no loose petals.

With Summer come the bugs! Here is a great, all natural lotion bar recipe to keep them away!

Car Travel can be exhausting. Here are some oils to perk you up while you are on the road. A cotton ball with a few drops of oil under the seat works well.

  • Car Sickness: Bergamot, Ginger, Mandarin, Sweet Orange and Peppermint
  • Invigorating oils: Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Lemon, Peppermint and Rosemary
  • Calming oils: Bergamot, Geranium and Tangerine

Scents to Avoid: Lavender, Marjoram and Vetiver as they can be sleep-inducing. If you are traveling with children avoid strong oils such as Rosemary and Eucalyptus.

HOME SCENTING IDEAS
